UTEP Offering Paydirt Pete Bobblehead to 1st 1k Fans Who Purchase Season Tickets by Aug. 31 By UT El Paso
On Thursday, UTEP Athletics official announced that a limited edition, basketball-themed Paydirt Pete bobblehead is in production and will be available to fans who renew or purchase new season tickets for the 2018-19 men’s hoops season by August 31.
“We’re excited to reward our early bird season ticket holders with this one-of-a-kind gift,” UTEP Director of Athletics Jim Senter said. “The bobblehead captures Pete’s iconic look and puts him in a basketball jersey, making him ready to go to work on the hardwood. Every Person Makes A Difference #EPMAD and I’m inviting all our fans to get on board for another action-packed hoops campaign!”
One Paydirt Pete bobblehead figure will be awarded to the first 1,000 season ticket account holders that sign up by the end of August. There is a limit of one bobblehead per season ticket account.
The UTEP men launch an exciting new era under coach Rodney Terry this winter. The Miners return three key players from last season – senior forward Paul Thomas and sophomore guards Evan Gilyard and Kobe Magee – while introducing a stellar recruiting class headlined by four-star recruit Jordan Lathon.
UTEP basketball season tickets start at $160 and are available by calling 747-6150 or visiting the UTEP Season Ticket Office, located at Brumbelow Building Room 109. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
