This morning, in celebration of the upcoming NCAA Tournament and March Madness, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled the first Coach Shaka Smart Marquette Golden Eagles Bobblehead. The officially licensed, limited-edition bobblehead features the fourth-year Marquette men’s basketball coach who is eyeing his fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth leading the Golden Eagles. The special edition bobblehead is being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of Marquette University.

  • The bobbleheads, which are expected to ship in September, are now available at this link.
  • Each bobblehead will be individually numbered to only 2,025.
  • The bobbleheads are $35 each plus an $8 flat-rate shipping charge per order.
  • Standing on a circular, hardwood-textured base bearing his name and the Marquette University logo, the Shaka Smart bobblehead is positioned in his well-known defensive crouch, which he often exhibits from the sideline while enthusiastically coaching his players. He is wearing a white striped polo shirt with the MU logo, dark pants and white high-tops.
  • A native of Madison, Wisconsin, the 47-year-old Smart was hired by Marquette on March 26th, 2021, after spending six seasons as the coach of the Texas Longhorns. After guiding Marquette to the NCAA Tournament and a 19-13 overall record in his first season, he led the Golden Eagles to a 29-7 record in his second season as they won the Big East Conference regular season and tournament titles before losing in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. In Smart’s third season, Marquette advanced to the Sweet 16 and finished 27-10 overall. In the 2024-25 season, the Golden Eagles have been ranked in the top 25 all season, reaching as high as No. 5.
  • After closing out the regular season with games against two-time defending national champion UConn and highly ranked St. John’s, Marquette will take part in the Big East Tournament, which is slated for March 12th to the 15th at Madison Square Garden in New York.
  • Prior to coaching at Texas, Smart was the head coach for six seasons at VCU where he led the Rams to the Final Four in 2011. Known for his defensive slides and fist-pumps to celebrate big plays on the sideline, Smart has been described as a relationship builder and been noted for his ability to increase team camaraderie.
  • “We’re excited to unveil the first Marquette Shaka Smart bobblehead featuring the popular and energetic basketball coach who has strong roots in Wisconsin,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “One of the most respected coaches in college basketball, Shaka’s Golden Eagles have fed off their coach, who is an enthusiastic presence on the sideline during games. This bobblehead will be a must-have for all fans of Marquette basketball!”
  • Previously, Marquette bobbleheads of Iggy (four color versions), Iggy Dancing In March, Marquette Golden Eagles Basketball Milkshake, and Marquette Golden Eagles Basketball Top 25 Ranking Tracker were released.
