- The bobbleheads are $30 each plus an $8 flat-rate shipping charge per order.
- Standing on a circular base bearing his name, the smiling Coach John Cook bobblehead is holding a black binder and wearing a white polo shirt with Nebraskaโs logo. The top of the red and white base is designed to look like a volleyball and includes a replica of Coach Cookโs signature.
- After winning four NCAA titles in 25 seasons leading the Cornhuskers, John Cook announced his retirement on Wednesday, January 26th. โItโs been a great run,โ the 68-year-old Cook said in a statement. โIโve had the opportunity to work with some great coaches and staff over the years, and Iโm forever grateful for how hard they worked and for how much they gave to Nebraska volleyball.โ
- A San Diego native, Cook began his coaching career at the high school level in California and then was a college assistant at UC San Diego and Nebraska before becoming head coach at Wisconsin in 1992. After seven seasons with the Badgers, he returned to Nebraska as associate head coach in 1999 and then took over the Huskers in 2000, when he won his first NCAA title.
- The Huskersโ other national championships were in 2006, 2015 and 2017. Cook was 722-103 at Nebraska, which is the best winning percentage (.875) for any Division I program over the past 25 years. He led the Huskers to 12 Final Four appearances, including this past season when they lost to Penn State in the semifinals. Cook won nine regular-season titles when Nebraska was in the Big 12 and five when the school moved to the Big Ten. His career head coaching record of 883-176 (.834) is the fifth-best winning percentage all time for a Division I volleyball coach.
- โWeโre excited to unveil this bobblehead celebrating legendary volleyball coach John Cook in honor of his well-deserved retirement,โ National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. โOne of the most successful coaches in the history of college volleyball, Coach Cookโs Husker teams were the standard of excellence for 25 years. This bobblehead is a must-have for all fans of Husker volleyball!โ
- The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which is located at 170 S. 1st. St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened to the public on February 1st, 2019.
