The officially licensed bobbleheads are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of Mississippi State University.

- This marks the first bobblehead for Mississippi Stateโs live English Bulldog mascot, Bully XXII.
- Previously known as the Aggies and Maroons, Bulldogs became the official nickname for Mississippi State teams after the school was granted university status in 1961, but the use of the nickname dates to at least 1905. In 1935, Mississippi State football coach Major Ralph Sasse acquired an English Bulldog to inspire his team. The dog, named Ptolemy (and affectionately nicknamed โTolโ), became a good luck charm as the team defeated Army and Alabama. The following season, Joe Rice Dockery, bought a bulldog named Bully, a littermate of Ptolemy, and presented him to the school as a gift.
- Retroactively named Bully I, he became the first mascot after Sasseโs team beat mighty Army, 13-7, at West Point โ perhaps the greatest victory in MSU football history. There have been 22 live mascots who have served as Bully. Bully XXII, who goes by โDakโ after former MSU quarterback Dak Prescott. Bully XXII took over mascot duties on April 15th, 2023, at halftime of the 2023 spring football game during Super Bulldog Weekend. The ceremony included the passing of the harness and blessing ceremony. The first costumed mascot appeared at Mississippi State during the 1964-65 school year.
- “Weโre excited to unveil this new Mississippi State Bulldogs Bobblehead Collection including the first bobblehead of Bully XXII in conjunction with the start of the new school year,โ National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. โThis bobblehead will be the perfect way for Mississippi State fans, alumni, students, faculty, and staff to show off their school pride!โ
