Miami Miracle Limited Edition Bobblehead Unveiled
Only bobblehead commemorating the Miami Miracle is now available exclusively from the National Bobblehead HOF and Museum.
MILWAUKEE, Wi., October 25, 2019 – This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled an officially licensed, limited edition bobblehead commemorating the “Miami Miracle”. The “Miami Miracle” took place at the end of the December 9th, 2018 game between the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots in Miami. With the Dolphins down 33-28 with only 7 seconds in the fourth quarter, the Dolphins completed a 17-yard pass followed by two lateral passes that resulted in the remarkable 69-yard touchdown by Kenyan Drake. The play, which won the Play of the Year Award at the 8th Annual NFL Honors Awards Show, was the first walk-off game-winning touchdown in NFL history to involve multiple lateral passes.
The bobbleheads, which are individually numbered to only 1,000, are $45 each plus a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order. The bobbleheads just arrived and will be shipped by the end of October. This is the only bobblehead commemorating the Miami Miracle and the first for Kenyan Drake. It was produced exclusively for the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum by FOCO.
The bobblehead features Drake running towards the end zone and has a picture of the play in the background. The front of the base incorporates “Miami Miracle” and the game’s final score, while the back of the base has the date of the game. In addition, the helmet is removable and can be played on the bobblehead or base.
Kenyan Drake was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 73rd pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Drake attended Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, where he was named the Gatorade Football Player of the Year for Georgia his senior year. Drake attended and played college football for the University of Alabama from 2012–2015. During Alabama’s 45–40 win over Clemson in the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship game, Drake returned a kickoff 95 yards for a critical touchdown in the fourth quarter.
“The Miami Miracle is one of the most remarkable plays in NFL history and we immediately knew it needed to be commemorated in bobblehead form,” said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “We think this bobblehead is the perfect way for fans to celebrate the tremendous play.”
