Lauren Hill bobblehead sales will benefit cancer foundation

The bobblehead of Lauren Hill scoring her iconic layup is now available for purchase.
Proceeds from the bobblehead sales will benefit The Cure Starts Now, the foundation Lauren worked with to help raise more than $1 million towards cancer research.
Commemorative Lauren Hill bobbleheads are available through Xavier Athletics online store. They are $12 each or two for $22 in honor of Hill’s jersey number.
“Lauren would have loved the bobblehead of herself,” said Lisa Hill, Lauren’s mom. “It’s a fun way to celebrate Lauren’s first collegiate basket. This was the “Best Moment” of 2014 for my family seeing her achieve her sports dream. I hope this little memento reminds people to NEVER GIVE UP!”
5,000 of the bobbleheads were passed out last weekend at the first annual Lauren Hill Tipoff classic.
Hill was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor shortly after signing with Mount Saint Joseph University. She fulfilled her collegiate basketball dreams in a Nov. 2, 2014 against Hiram College.
In front of a sold out crowd, Hill scored her first layup and started a movement to raise awareness for pediatric brain cancer. Lauren saw her efforts raise more than $1 million before passing away in April.
