Get your Julian Edelman bobblehead while you still can By Mark Shanahan
Injured Patriots receiver Julian Edelman is staying busy off the field.
Tom Brady’s binky has a new children’s book and he’s also been immortalized by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum in a bobblehead featuring Edelman wearing the uni of his alma mater, the Kent State Golden Flashes.
For collectors of everything Edelman, the bobbleheads of the former Kent State QB are individually numbered — there are just 2,017 of them — and cost $40 each. Not too shabby for a guy who was drafted in the seventh round — the 232nd overall pick — in the 2009 NFL Draft.
We don’t know what Edelman reads, but he likes to write. A press release from his publisher Thursday refers to the Pats pass-catcher as a New York Times best-selling author, and that’s not wrong. Edelman’s first children’s book, titled “Flying High,” was such a success that he’s written “Flying High 2.”
