Dodgers Unveil First Half Of Bobbleheads For 2018 Season By Hunter Thompson

Bobblehead nights may be the most popular promotion in all of baseball, and the Dodgers know how to do it right. They recently unveiled the first five bobbleheads of the ten they’re scheduled to give away, and it did not disappoint.
Here’s the list from MLB:

• April 21st vs. Washington Nationals: Cody Bellinger ROY
• May 22nd vs. Colorado Rockies: Corey Seager
• May 30th vs. Philadelphia Phillies: Chris Taylor
• June 9th vs. Atlanta Braves: Manny Mota
• June 26th vs. Chicago Cubs: Kiké Hernandez

First on the list is a Cody Bellinger Rookie of the Year bobblehead. It will be given out on April 21st against the Nationals, in a game that will surely sell out. Not only will the Bellinger bobblehead bring in waves of fans, but this game could be a preview of a potential postseason match-up. The second one to be given away will depict another former Rookie of the Year, Corey Seager. Seager being a fan-favorite will certainly draw plenty of fanfare as well. It will be given out on May 22nd.
Third on the list will be the Dodgers’ breakout star, Chris Taylor. Taylor, who was viewed more as depth to begin 2017, broke out in a big way during his first full season. Taylor slashed .288/.354/.496 with 21 bombs while winning the hearts of Dodger fans everywhere. His success carried into the postseason and was an integral part of the Dodgers making it to the World Series. Taylor will be immortalized with his bobblehead on May 30th, against the Phillies.
Dodgers’ legend Manny Mota will be the fourth bobblehead given away . Mota was a pinch-hitting specialist, who was a part of the Dodgers World Series teams in 1981 and 1988. Mota currently works as a Spanish-language broadcaster for the Dodgers. His bobblehead day will be on June 9th, against the Atlanta Braves.
The fifth and final announced bobblehead will be Kiké Hernandez. Hernandez has been a platoon player for the Dodgers, who has a knack for hitting lefties. Most platoon players don’t get the honor of their own bobblehead night, but Kiké earned his. It will come on June 26th against the Cubs, who he had a three-homer game against in the NLCS to help send the Dodgers to the Fall Classic.
