This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled a limited-edition Colorado Buffaloes vs. Colorado State Rams Rivalry Bobblehead ahead of Saturday’s game between the two rivals in Fort Collins. The bobblehead features Colorado’s mascot Chip the Buffalo and Colorado State’s mascot CAM the Ram with a replica Centennial Cup. The bobblehead commemorates the rivalry also known as the Rocky Mountain Showdown.

The special edition bobblehead, which is being released in conjunction with the 93rd meeting between the Buffaloes and Ducks on Saturday, September 14th at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins, Colorado, is available exclusively from the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of the University of Colorado and Colorado State University.

  • The bobbleheads are now available in the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store at this link.
  • The bobbleheads, which are expected to ship in January, are $50 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order.
  • Each bobblehead is individually numbered to 2,024.
  • The bobblehead is being released in conjunction with the 93rd meeting between the teams on Saturday, September 14th at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins, Colorado.
  • Standing side-by-side on a football field base that reads β€œBUFFALOES” in one end zone and β€œRAMS” in the other end zone, Colorado mascot Chip the Buffalo and Colorado State mascot CAM the Ram are wearing their respective uniforms while giving the No. 1 signal and holding a football adorned with their school logo. Positioned in between Chip and CAM is a replica of the Centennial Cup. The front of the base features the logos for each team.
  • Colorado leads the all-time Rocky Mountain Showdown series, 68-22-2. The Buffaloes have won the last six meetings, two of which needed to be decided in overtime. Last year’s matchup required double overtime as Colorado prevailed, 43-35. This is the first Rocky Mountain Showdown to be played in Fort Collins since 1996. The last time CSU defeated the Buffs at home was in 1955 when the university was still known as Colorado A&M. After Saturday’s meeting, the rivals, who are located 45 miles apart, are next scheduled to square off in 2029, 2030, 2033, 2034, 2037, and 2038.
  • The winner of the game receives the Centennial Cup. It began in 1893 and was played annually from 1899 to 1958, except for 1901, 1905, and 1943-44. It was revived in 1983 and played periodically until it became an annual rivalry once again from 1995 to 2019.
  • “We’re excited to unveil this limited-edition Colorado vs. Colorado State Rivalry Bobblehead ahead of tomorrow’s game in Fort Collins,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. β€œThis bobblehead will be the perfect way for Colorado and Colorado State fans, alumni, students, faculty, and staff to show off their school pride!”
  • The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which is located at 170 S. 1st. St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened to the public on February 1st, 2019. The HOF and Museum also produces high quality, customized bobbleheads for retail sale as well as organizations, individuals, and teams across the country.
