This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled an officially licensed, limited-edition bobblehead of University of Vermont menβs soccer coach Rob Dow, whose Catamounts recently won the 2024 NCAA Menβs Division I National Championship β the first in program history. This marks the first bobblehead of Coach Dow, and it joins the National Championship bobblehead featuring Vermontβs mascot that was unveiled last week. The special edition bobbleheads are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of the University of Vermont.

- Standing on a circular base bearing his name, the smiling, mustachioed Rob Dow bobblehead is wearing his lucky green and gold scarf and giving the No. 1 signal. The top of the base features the Vermont Catamounts logo and reads: β2024 NCAA Menβs Soccer National Champions.β
- Previously, an officially licensed, limited-edition bobblehead of Rally Cat, the Vermont mascot, was released commemorating the teamβs national title. The Rally Cat bobbleheads are $40 each. A set of two is available for $75 plus an $8 flat-rate shipping charge per order.
- On Monday, December 16th, the unseeded Vermont menβs soccer team captured its first national title with a 2-1 overtime victory over Marshall at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina.
- Junior forward Maximilian Kissel scored unassisted for the game-winning golden goal at 94:53 in overtime to set off a wild celebration. The Catamounts (16-2-6) were the first Vermont team to appear in an NCAA championship game, as only the schoolβs skiing team had won a national title previously. After Marshall took a 1-0 lead at 66:43, the Catamounts tied it up on a goal by Marcell Papp at 80:25 that was assisted by David Ismail.
- En route to claiming their national title, the Catamounts defeated Iona (5-0), Hofstra (2-1), San Diego (1-0 in overtime), Pittsburgh (2-0), and Denver (4-3 in penalty kicks) in NCAA Tournament play.
- Under head coach Rob Dow, the Catamounts have now won 10 NCAA tourney games since 2022 β the most of any program in the country. βI want these guys to know for the rest of their lives, theyβre national champions,β Dow said. βTheyβre national champions for the University of Vermont.β
- Born in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Dow graduated from the University of Maine, where he played, and earned his masterβs degree at North Dakota State University. After coaching stints at Maine, Mayville State, Dean College, and Southern New Hampshire, Dow was hired as an assistant coach at Vermont in 2012 and was named the head coach in 2017.
