This morning, to celebrate the upcoming start of the college football season, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled an officially licensed Brigham Young University Cougar Push-Up Counter Bobblehead and Football Bobblehead. The unique push-up counter bobblehead lets fans count along with the number of push-ups their mascot does each game and is part of a series featuring over a dozen college mascots that do push-ups when their team scores. The officially licensed bobbleheads are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of Brigham Young University.

  • Released in conjunction with the start of the 2024 college football season, the bobbleheads are now available in the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store at this link.
  • The bobbleheads, which are expected to ship in December, are $35 for the Cosmo Football Jersey Bobblehead and $40 for the Push-Up Counter Bobblehead plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order.
  • Each bobblehead is individually numbered to 2,024.

  • On October 15th, 1953, Cosmo the Cougar made his first appearance in front of BYU fans, flying into LaVell Edwards Stadium on a parachute. More than 70 years later, Cosmo has shown no signs of slowing down as he continues to wow crowds with his show-stopping stunts and acrobatics. One of Cosmo’s most viral stunts was in 2020, when he was thrown from the 3-point line by five men, catching a basketball in mid-air and dunking it. ESPN posted a video of the stunt on Facebook, and it received more than 4.6 million views. For another viral stunt, Cosmo did push-ups on five tables stacked on top of each other at a basketball game in 2022. When he reached the top of the stack, he did a big push-up jump in the air and finished with a front dive off the tables to a mat. During the 2023 football season, Cosmo performed textbook push-ups atop vertically stacked dumbbells as a large tractor tire was placed on his back. He completed five push-ups with ease, highlighting BYU’s victory over Southern Utah. There’s a reason Cosmo is known as the most athletic mascot in all college sports!
  • “We’re excited to unveil this unique BYU Push-Up Counter Bobblehead featuring Cosmo in conjunction with the start of the 2024 college football season,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “This bobblehead will be the perfect way for BYU fans to follow along as the Cougars put points on the scoreboard each week for many seasons to come and a great way for fans, alumni, students, faculty, and staff to show off their school pride all year long!”
  • The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which is located at 170 S. 1st. St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened to the public on February 1st, 2019. The HOF and Museum also produces high quality, customized bobbleheads for retail sale as well as organizations, individuals, and teams across the country.
