This morning, to celebrate the upcoming start of the 2024 fall semester and college football season, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled an officially licensed Air Force Falcons Bobblehead Collection. Over the next two weeks, we are unveiling our back-to-school bobblehead collection, and we’re excited to have Air Force included.

The collection includes three bobbleheads including the first bobblehead of Air Force’s live mascot, Nova, and two bobbleheads featuring Air Force’s costumed mascot, The Falcon. The unique Football Push-Up Counter Bobblehead features The Falcon doing a push up with a built-in counter that fans can change as the team scores. The officially licensed bobbleheads are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of the United States Air Force Academy.

  • Released in conjunction with the start of the 2024 college football season, the bobbleheads are now available in the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store at this link.

  • Each bobblehead is individually numbered to 2,024.
  • The Bird has been the costumed mascot of the United States Air Force Academy since 1957. The electric blue falcon wears the Academy’s sports uniforms with pride and can be seen on the sideline at many of the school’s sporting events. During football games, The Bird has been known to match points with push-ups while surrounded by Air Force cadets – usually 100 freshmen volunteers. Jim Bowman, whose career at Air Force as an instructor, coach, and administrator stretched back to 1958, recalled push-ups being done at the first games he attended before the games were even played in Falcon Stadium. Air Force has other home game staples, ranging from the pregame flyovers to the cadet wing marching onto the field before each game.
  • Nova is a full white-phase Gyrfalcon and the latest member of the United States Air Force Academy’s falconry team. The Academy has had a falconry team for more than 60 years, flying the birds at events and educating the public.
  • Air Force kicks off the 2024 football season when they host Merrimack on Saturday.
  • “We’re excited to unveil this special Air Force Bobblehead Series in conjunction with the start of the 2024 college football season,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “These bobbleheads will be the perfect way for Air Force Cadets, graduates, fans, faculty, and staff to show off their school pride all year long!”
  • The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which is located at 170 S. 1st. St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened to the public on February 1st, 2019. The HOF and Museum also produces high quality, customized bobbleheads for retail sale as well as organizations, individuals, and teams across the country.
