From PostCrescent – Cory Chisel is an accomplished musician, a festival co-founder and a Grammy Award nominee.
Now add bobblehead to that resumé.
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers unveiled the 2016 season’s bobblehead giveaway lineup and, among names like manager Matt Erickson, Milwaukee Brewers Khris Davis and Jason Rogers and Red Sox slugger (and former Appleton Fox) David Ortiz, is the Fox Valley native singer-songwriter.
The June 26 game at Fox Cities Stadium between the Timber Rattlers and the visiting Quad Cities River Bandits will feature a Chisel bobblehead giveaway. It’s a Sunday afternoon game with a 1 p.m. start time.
The bobblehead is another honor for Chisel who last week was nominated for a Grammy Award for songwriting on a track with Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris.
The 10 other bobbleheads offered during the 2016 campaign are Fang and Whiffer (a double bobblehead), Erickson, Rogers, Fang and Hank (another double bobblehead), Jake Gatewood, Davis, Orlando Arcia, Ortiz, Monte Harrison and a fan’s choice bobblehead that remains to be determined.
The next show for Chisel in the Fox Cities is a Thursday night performance at the Lawrence Memorial Chapel.
