MILWAUKEE โ This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled a limited edition Bernie Sanders 2025 Inauguration Day bobblehead featuring the Vermont Senator with his arms crossed and scowling as he was shown during President Donald Trumpโs inauguration on Monday, January 20th. The special edition bobblehead is being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum and joins the original Bernie Sanders Inauguration Day Bobblehead from President Joe Bidenโs inauguration in 2021, which is currently the Museumโs second best seller of all time behind the original Dr. Anthony Fauci Bobblehead.
Seated in a chair on a base bearing his name, the scowling Sanders bobblehead is wearing a dark suit with a blue shirt and striped tie. His arms are crossed as they were when President Donald Trump gave his inauguration speech. It was another viral inauguration moment for Sanders, who remained seated as others around him gave a standing ovation. Each bobblehead will be individually numbered and they are available exclusively through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museumโs Online Store. The bobbleheads, which are expected to ship in July, are $30 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order.
The 2025 Inauguration Day Bobblehead, is the latest in the Bernie Sanders collection. The original Bernie Sanders Inauguration Day Bobblehead from President Joe Bidenโs inauguration in 2021 is currently the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museumโs No. 2 best seller of all time behind the original Dr. Anthony Fauci Bobblehead. Along with the original, other Bernie Sanders 2021 Inauguration Day Bobbleheads still available are Bernie Sanders Standing, a Dashboard/Mini (sitting), a Mantle Mate (sitting) and an Ornament (sitting). The original Bernie Sanders Inauguration Day Bobblehead commemorates the viral moment when Sanders was pictured watching the Inauguration ceremony to swear in Joe Biden as the nationโs 46th President. The bobblehead features a masked Sanders, wearing a jacket and mittens, sitting on a folding chair with his legs crossed on a white podium base.
Two bobbleheads commemorating a pair of memorable moments from Sandersโ Democratic presidential campaigns in 2016 and 2020 are also available. The first bobblehead is from the 2016 campaign. During a rally at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, on March 25th, Sanders was interrupted mid-speech when a small bird perched itself on the podium in front of him as the crowd reacted with thunderous applause. The moment later became a viral sensation with the hashtag #BirdieSanders. The second bobblehead is from the 2020 campaign. On December 30th, 2019, Sanders tweeted a short video imploring supporters to donate to his campaign before the Federal Election Commission fundraising deadline. โI am once again asking for your financial support,โ he said at the beginning of the video. A screenshot of that phrase became a popular meme imagining various scenarios in which monetary donations are being requested.
On Monday, January 20th, President Donald Trumpโs inauguration was held indoors at the US Capitol in Washington D.C. due to frigid conditions. A Trump critic, Sanders once again went viral for showing no enthusiasm while many around him stood to cheer the new president. At one point in his speech, Trump said, โI will also sign an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America.โ The camera then cut to the crowd in the Rotunda, most of whom stood up to clap. In the front row, the Vermont Senator sat with his arms folded. Similarly, when most of the room stood as Trump spoke about his intent to immediately โdeclare a national emergency at our southern border,โ Sanders remained seated. The senator also looked less-than-thrilled as Trump vowed to end the Green New Deal, which Sanders championed.
Political bobbleheads were some of the earliest bobbleheads available for purchase starting in 1960. John F. Kennedy was the first politician captured in bobblehead form and bobbleheads of presidents, candidates, and other political figures have remained popular ever since. Bobbleheads of all 47 United States Presidents have also been produced.
“The original Bernie Sanders Inauguration Day Bobbleheads took on a life of their own, and weโre sure the latest Bernie Sanders Inauguration Day Bobblehead will popular as well,โ National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. โBernie Sanders has become a meme machine and a viral sensation. Bobbleheads remembering these memorable moments are must-haves.โ
