This morning, to celebrate the start of the 2024-25 school year, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled an officially licensed Butler Bulldog Bobblehead featuring Butlerโ€™s mascot Hink, who play the โ€œButler War Songโ€ from the base. The fall semester for Butler University begins on Wednesday, August 28th as students, faculty and staff return to campus for the new school year and the fall sports season gets underway. The officially licensed bobbleheads are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of the Butler University.

  • The bobbleheads are now available in the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museumโ€™s Online Store at this link.
  • The bobbleheads, which recently arrived and ship now, are $35 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order.
  • Each bobblehead is individually numbered to 2,024.
  • Standing on a base that reads โ€œBulldogsโ€ across the front with a backing featuring Butlerโ€™s logo, the Hink bobblehead is giving the #1 sign while wearing a No. 55 jersey and his signature โ€œBโ€ chain. The unique bobbleheads play the โ€œButler War Songโ€ at the push of a button and are available in blue and white jerseys.
  • Named in honor of former Butler athletic director and coach Paul D. โ€œTonyโ€ Hinkle, Butlerโ€™s costumed mascot, Hink, was officially given his name on January 22nd, 2009. Chuck Schisla, a 1960 Butler graduate, was credited with coming up with the name as part of a contest. The costumed Butler Bulldog first appeared more than 60 years ago. Written by John Heiney, the โ€œButler War Songโ€ was adopted as Butlerโ€™s fight song in 1926. The lyrics of the song are as follows: โ€œWe’ll sing the Butler war song, โ€ฆ We’ll give a fighting cry; โ€ฆ We’ll fight the Butler battle โ€ฆ Bulldogs ever do or die. โ€ฆ And in the glow of the victory firelight, โ€ฆ History cannot deny โ€ฆ To add a page or two โ€ฆ For Butler’s fighting crew โ€ฆ Beneath the Hoosier sky.โ€
  • “Weโ€™re excited to unveil this new Butler Bulldog Bobblehead in conjunction with the start of the new school year,โ€ National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. โ€œThis bobblehead will be the perfect way for Butler fans, alumni, students, faculty, and staff to show off their school pride!โ€
  • The Hink Bobbleheads join previously released Butler Bulldogs bobbleheads featuring Butlerโ€™s live Bulldog mascots, Blue as well as Butler legend Tony Hinkle and a replica of the Bulldog that is outside of Butlerโ€™s Atherton Union.
  • The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which is located at 170 S. 1st. St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened to the public on February 1st, 2019. The HOF and Museum also produces high quality, customized bobbleheads for retail sale as well as organizations, individuals, and teams across the country.
