Georgia Bulldogs Uga Bobblehead Series Featuring All 11 Bulldogs Unveiled

MILWAUKEE – This morning, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, in conjunction with the University of Georgia, unveiled an officially licensed, limited-edition Uga Bobblehead Series featuring the University of Georgia’s popular live Uga mascots. The release follows the wildly popular Uga X Bobblehead that was unveiled earlier this year and sold out quickly.

A new Uga X Bobblehead will be available as part of this series along with the first bobblehead of all the other English bulldogs who have proudly served as Uga. The officially licensed bobbleheads are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of the University of Georgia.

Sitting on a University of Georgia logo-shaped base bearing their mascot name and personal name in the shape of a bone on the front and back, the Uga XI bobblehead has his tongue out in playful fashion while wearing a custom-made jersey. All bobbleheads in the series feature the same style base with poses and clothing specific to each mascot as shown on Georgia’s “History of Uga” website. Each week from now through December, the University of Georgia and the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum will be highlighting the new Uga Bobbleheads starting with the current Uga (XI) and concluding with the first Uga (I).  

The bobbleheads, which will each be individually numbered to 2,024, are available for pre-order through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store. Each Uga Bobblehead is available individually for $30 each or as a complete set of 11 for a discounted price of $300 plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order. The bobbleheads are in production and are expected to ship in December.

Called “the greatest mascot in college football history” by Sports Illustrated in 2019, Georgia’s line of pure white English bulldogs has been a staple of the mascot landscape since 1956. Every Uga has been owned by the Sonny Seiler family of Savannah, Georgia. Through the years, Uga has been defined by his spiked collar, a symbol of the position which he holds. He was given his name, an abbreviation for the university, by William Young, a law school classmate of Seiler.

Uga XI, also known as Boom, was introduced during a pregame ceremony at Sanford Stadium before the G-Day Game on April 15th, 2023. The 10-month-old Uga XI inherited his title from his father, Que, who served as Uga X from 2015 through the Bulldogs’ 2022 National Championship victory. Que retired as the winningest mascot in Georgia history with a 91-18 record. At his collaring ceremony, Boom already weighed the same as his 65-pound father. During the pregame ceremony before the spring game, the “transfer of power,” as it was described as Sanford Stadium, was completed as Uga X’s collar was taken off and placed on Uga XI to a roar of cheers and “BOOOOM!” from the crowd in Athens. Uga XI’s official responsibilities began on September 2nd, 2023, when Georgia hosted the University of Tennessee-Martin.
