This morning, to celebrate the start of the 2024-25 school year, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled the first Lincoln University Lions Bobblehead featuring Lincoln’s mascot Luther the Lion. The bobblehead is the newest addition to our HBCU Bobblehead Collection, which now features over 30 Historically Black Colleges and Universities including Lincoln University, which is the nation’s first degree-granting HBCU.

Over the next two weeks, we are unveiling our back-to-school bobblehead collection, and we’re excited to have Lincoln included. The officially licensed bobbleheads are being produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of Lincoln University.

  • The bobbleheads are now available in the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store at this link.
  • The bobbleheads, which are expected to ship in October, are $35 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order.
  • Each bobblehead is individually numbered to 2,024.
  • The bobblehead is the newest addition to our HBCU Bobblehead Collection, which now features over 30 Historically Black Colleges and Universities including Lincoln University, which is the nation’s first degree-granting HBCU.
  • Standing on a base that reads “Lions” across the front with a backing featuring the Lincoln University logo, the Lion bobblehead is giving the No. 1 signal while wearing a football jersey.
  • An NCAA Division II program located in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania just outside of Oxford, Lincoln is a member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. An original member of the CIAA from 1912 to 1980, the Lions rejoined the conference in 2008. According the school’s website, “During its early years, Lincoln was known colloquially as ‘the Black Princeton’ due to its Princeton University-educated founder and early faculty, rigorous classical curriculum, ties to the Presbyterian Church, and its similarities in colors and mascots (Princeton’s colors were orange and black, while Lincoln’s were orange and blue; Princeton’s mascot was a tiger, and Lincoln’s mascot was a lion).”
  • “We’re excited to unveil the first Lincoln University Lions Bobblehead in conjunction with the start of the new school year,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “This bobblehead will be the perfect way for Lincoln fans, alumni, students, faculty, and staff to show off their school pride!”
  • The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, which is located at 170 S. 1st. St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, opened to the public on February 1st, 2019. The HOF and Museum also produces high quality, customized bobbleheads for retail sale as well as organizations, individuals, and teams across the country.
