TORONTO – Mayor Rob Ford will be selling bobbleheads from his mom’s house on Labour Day.
The mayor’s office issued a press release Thursday to announce he’ll be selling Robbie Bobbies on Monday to raise cash for the Humber River Regional Hospital.
“Back by popular demand, the third edition of the Mayor Rob Ford bobbleheads will go on sale Monday,” the release stated.
Ford — who is running for re-election — will be selling a bobblehead of himself wearing the mayor’s chain of office for $30 a pop.
The sale will start at 10 a.m. at Diane Ford’s house at 15 Weston Wood Rd. in Etobicoke.
A one-bobblehead-per-person limit will be in effect.
Although Ford is selling three versions of Robbie Bobbies to raise cash for his re-election campaign, proceeds from sales of the first two editions of the toy went towards charity.
According to the mayor’s office, more than $22,000 in cash has been raised from selling Rob Ford bobbleheads for the United Way of Toronto and the Canadian Cancer Society.
Ford started selling bobbleheads back in November, shortly after police confirmed he was caught on video smoking crack cocaine and he admitted, after months of denying it, that he had used the drug.
