Texas Longhorns Four-Time Football National Champions Bobblehead Unveiled
Limited Edition bobblehead commemorating the Texas Longhorns’ four Football National Championships now available as part of new College Football Champions Series.
MILWAUKEE, Wi., August 27, 2019 – Today, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled an officially licensed, limited edition bobblehead commemorating the Texas Longhorns’ four NCAA Division 1 Football National Championships. The bobblehead features the Longhorns’ mascot, Hook ‘Em, surrounded by four championship rings on the base of the bobblehead, which is in the shape of the Texas Longhorns logo. A commemorative backing lists the years of Texas’ titles, which were in 1963, 1969, 1970, and 2005.
The limited edition bobbleheads, which are individually numbered to only 2,005 to coincide with the school’s last title year, are now available for purchase. The bobbleheads are $40 each with a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order. The bobbleheads are officially licensed and were produced by FOCO exclusively for the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
The Texas Longhorns football program has been one of the most highly regarded and historic programs since starting 1893. Texas has won four national championships and thirty-two conference championships. As of the end of the 2018 season, Texas’ all-time-record of 908–370–33 (.705) ranks as the second-most wins in NCAA Division I FBS history. Texas holds many college football records including 108 winning seasons out of 122 total seasons, 24 seasons with 10 or more wins, 9 undefeated seasons, and 26 seasons with at most one loss or tie. In addition, Texas is second in number of bowl game appearances (55) and fourth in bowl game victories (29).
This new bobblehead is one of seven to be included in an exclusive series of College Football Championship bobbleheads that the Hall of Fame and Museum is releasing leading up to the college football season. The other schools included in the series are Miami, Florida, USC, LSU, Nebraska and Ohio State.
The NCAA recognizes College Football National Champions dating back to 1869 when Princeton and Rutgers were both crowned National Champions. The release follows very popular bobbleheads commemorating teams that have won Basketball National Championships and World Series titles.
“The championship bobbleheads are the ultimate way for fans to show off their school pride,” said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “We know how passionate Longhorns fans are about their team and bobbleheads, so we expect these to be extremely popular.”
