Frank Robb and Chance the Snapper alligator hunter bobblehead now available for pre-order in the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museumโ€™s Online Store.

Milwaukee, WI โ€“ July 25, 2019 โ€“ Today, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled the rendering for a limited edition bobblehead featuring Frank Robb holding Chance the Snapper. Frank is the alligator hunter from Florida that was brought to Chicago to capture Chance the Snapper, an alligator who captivated the nation as it avoided capture in Chicagoโ€™s Humboldt Park Lagoon for over a week.

The bobbleheads feature Frank Robb holding Chance the Snapper with a danger sign across the back of the base. They are now available for pre-order in the Hall of Fame and Museumโ€™s online store for $25 each plus a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order and are expected to arrive in October. Each bobblehead will be individually numbered and come in a collectorโ€™s box. Both Frank Robb and Chanceโ€™s head will bobble, their names, Humboldt Park Lagoon, and the dates of Chanceโ€™s stay in the Lagoon will be included on the base. One dollar from every bobblehead sold will be donated to the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.

This is the second bobblehead featuring Chance the Snapper, with the first one released last week. That bobblehead features Chance the Snapper covered with water in the Humboldt Park Lagoon. Itโ€™s also expected to ship in October and is $25 with a flat rate shipping of $8 per order.

Frank Robb works for Florida Fish and Wildlife in Brevard County, Florida has been capturing alligators for 24 years. He had followed the search for “Chance the Snapper” before getting the call to come to Chicago and capture the elusive gator. After Robb captured Chance the Snapper, he became an instant celebrity in Chicago, throwing out the first pitch at a Cubs game and turning on Buckingham Fountain. After taking about eight trips around the lagoon, Robb captured the gator with a fishing rod and line, and the hook latched onto the base of the Chance the Snapperโ€™s tail on Robbโ€™s first attempt.

Chance the Snapper is a five-foot-long alligator that was found swimming in the Humboldt Park Lagoon in Chicago on the evening of July 9, 2019. Chicago residents were mesmerized by the elusive gator who somehow avoided capture for over a week. After several unsuccessful attempts from local authorities, including a volunteer from the Chicago Herpetological Society, alligator hunter Frank Robb was flown in from Florida. After nearly 36 sleepless hours, Robb emerged from the lagoon with the gator. Chance the Snapper was relocated to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park in St. Augustine, Florida, where the gator was welcomed with a banner, Chicago music and a pizza.

โ€œThe Lord blessed me with the gift of working with Crocodilians, and the blessings he and the City of Chicago have provided me are beyond my comprehension,โ€ said Frank Robb. โ€œI am proud to say that a Dollar from each Bobble Head sold goes to help animals in need in the city of Chicago, through the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. God Bless and Thank you!โ€

โ€œThe response for the Chance the Snapper bobblehead was tremendous, but we received so many requests for a bobblehead of Frank, who became an instant celebrity in Chicago after capturing Chance the Snapper so quickly,โ€ said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. โ€œWe were thrilled that Frank was as excited about his bobblehead as we were, and we canโ€™t wait for fans to see the newest bobblehead featuring Chance the Snapper and the alligator hunter that took Chicago by storm!โ€
