National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveils first set of Atlanta United players By Staff Reports
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled two officially licensed, limited edition Atlanta United FC Bobbleheads featuring star players Josef Martínez and Miguel Almirón on Thursday morning.
Atlanta United currently has the most points in the MLS standings heading into the final month of the season and Martínez and Almirón have played critical roles in the team’s success.
The individually numbered bobbleheads are $40 each or $75 for the set of two plus a flat rate shipping charge of $8 per order. The officially licensed bobbleheads are being produced by FOCO and are scheduled to arrive and ship out by December in time for the holidays.
Both Martínez and Almirón have started all 30 games for Atlanta United this year, with Martínez scoring 30 goals and tallying five assists, while Almirón has 12 goals and 14 assists. Martínez, a forward from Venezuela, was a finalist for MLS Newcomer of the Year in 2017 after recording 17 goals in his first MLS season. Earlier this year, Martínez broke the MLS single-season scoring record with his 28th goal.
Almirón, a midfielder from Paraguay, was named the 2017 MLS Newcomer of the Year after scoring nine goals and recording 14 assists in his first MLS season.
“Atlanta holds the distinction of being the first team to sell out for the series of classic MLS Bobbleheads that we released last year, and we’re excited to be offering the first Atlanta United FC player bobbleheads,” said Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “Each bobblehead will be individually numbered, making these great collectibles for Atlanta United fans, and a great gift with the holidays approaching.”
